Le Pont marked its first anniversary of operation November 4 with a fundraising spaghetti supper, organized to raise money for this diocesan welcome centre for asylum seekers.

Up to 200 million people are affected by persecution around the world. Each year, the Archdiocese of Montreal, in collaboration with Aid to the Church in Need, holds a Mass inviting everyone to pray in solidarity with those who are persecuted and suffer unjustly for their peacefully held beliefs. You are invited November 21, 7:30 p.m., at Mary Queen of the World Cathedral.

On October 28, the Missionary Sisters of Christ the King celebrated the 90th anniversary of their congregation’s founding. Archbishop Lépine joined them for this special occasion, to celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving in the lovely chapel of their motherhouse in Laval.
