The Archdiocese of Montreal announced the appointment of Laura Rochford as Financial Administrator. Ms. Rochford assumes her new duties effective April 24, 2018, succeeding Benoît Cardin, who has been appointed director of the recently created Office for Development and Planned Giving.

Laura has many years of experience in various sectors and industries in the areas of financial management, strategic planning and development, business plans and budgetary processes, cash management, tax planning and compliance, mergers and acquisitions, review and negotiation of contracts, continuous improvement and change management.  She has an accounting degree from Mount Allison University, Sackville, New Brunswick and is a member of the Ordre des Comptables Professionnels Agréées du Québec (Quebec CPA Order).

Taking on this key role at the Archdiocese of Montreal, Ms. Rochford is responsible for the administration of diocesan assets. Working directly with the Episcopal Council and with the directors of diocesan offices and services, she will ensure the efficient fiscal management of the Archdiocese. She will also oversee accounting services, payroll and diocesan budgets, management of the financial team and of administrative services to assist parishes.
