The latest announcement from the Canadian bishops invites all Christians to unite in prayer during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, Jan. 18–25, 2025. This year’s theme, “Do you believe this?” (Jn 11:26), marks the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea.

The Ignace Bourget Diocesan Award of Merit honours individuals and groups who have made significant contributions to the Church and society. The 2025 winners were celebrated for their exemplary dedication to service, community involvement, and humanitarian efforts.
