On Saturday, August 8, at the parish of Cristo Risorto in Hédzranawoé, in Lomé, Togo, Sister Jacqueline Tchamgbade, Director of the Montreal diocesan Office for Consecrated Life, was surrounded by her religious community, her family and many loved ones, in thanksgiving for twenty-five years of faithful commitment to her congregation, the Sœurs de Notre-Dame de la Trinité (Sisters of Our Lady of the Trinity, NDT), a Togolese congregation founded in 1985. During the Eucharistic celebration, she renewed her vows and was consecrated anew to the Virgin Mary.

From Montreal, too, came a gesture of communion. Archbishop Christian Lépine sent a letter and his apostolic blessing, in recognition of the sister who now carries out her mission within the Church of Montreal.

Above all, it was a day of gratitude: for twenty-five years given freely, and for a vocation that, twenty-five years on, still bears fruit far from home, in the Church of Montreal.
