Félix de Valois Dadjeu and Pierre Joannette will be ordained permanent deacons during a celebration presided by Archbishop Christian Lépine on Friday, November 10 at Mary Queen of the World Cathedral, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Félix is married to Mrs. Rosine Rachel Djokam, and they have 4 children. They live in Mascouche and are involved in Bienheureux François-de-Laval Parish and the Notre-Dame d'Afrique community.

Pierre is married to France Rehel, and they have 3 children, who are now married. Pierre and France also have four grandchildren. They live in Repentigny and are involved in the Eaux-Vives Pastoral Unit.

We thank the Lord for his gift to us, Félix and Pierre, committed to being the permanent sign of a Church that is at service in the world, and for their wives and families, who have generously accepted to share them with us!

Whereas transitional deacons journey towards the priesthood, most permanent deacons are married and have children. Their discernment, formation and ordination would not be possible without the consent and support of their wives.

Today, in the Archdiocese of Montreal, there are 73 permanent deacons and 17 journeying towards priesthood.
