The Conseil du patrimoine religieux du Québec (CPRQ) announces the program of the annual Religious Heritage Day (Journée du patrimoine religieux), to be held September 9, 10 and 11, is now available on its website: www.journeesdupatrimoinereligieux.ca

A vast range of activities has been organized, thanks to the efforts of the many parish volunteers who look forward to welcoming you and sharing their countless stories with you. Plan your days in Montreal and Laval attending concerts and taking part in tours and activities.

The following Catholic churches in our Diocese will be participating:

1. Historic Chapel at Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf (Saturday and Sunday, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. Guided tours every 30 minutes

31. Saint-Gilles Church (Open House Saturday with informative display panels and possibly a concert Saturday evening)

32. Saint-Léopold Church (Open House, visit a historic resort church. Sculptures and liturgical furnishings signed by the artist Gaétan Therrien (1927-2005))

33. Saint-Maurice-de-Duvernay Church (Sunday: Guided tours available upon request (on-site, Sunday)

34. Saint-Maxime Church (Open House)

35. Saint-Noël-Chabanel Church (Tour this church constructed during the time of the Second Vatican Council)

36. Saint-Vincent-de-Paul Church (Friday Open House with Guided tour at 3:00 p.m.; Saturday Open House from 2:00 p.m., followed by a Concert featuring M. Denis Gagné at 3:00 p.m.)

37. Saint-Sulpice Church (Exhibit and interpretation of historical liturgical vestments; Video presentation on the history of the building)
