On Wednesday, 1 June 2022, the Holy See Press Office announced that His Holiness Pope Francis appointed the Most Rev. Douglas Crosby, O.M.I., Bishop of Hamilton, as a member of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments.

A total of 22 members were appointed to the aforementioned Congregation.  For a complete list of all the new members, see the announcement released by the Holy See (in English and Italian only):

As part of the Roman Curia, the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments is led by the Prefect, the Most Rev. Arthur Roche, and was renamed Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, on Sunday, 5 June 2022, in accordance with the Holy Father’s new apostolic constitution, Praedicate evangelium.

The Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments is the dicastery of the Roman Curia that handles affairs related to the liturgical practices within the Latin Church as well as some technical matters relating to the sacraments.
