During a colourful celebration held on Sunday, December 9, Archbishop Christian Lépine joined the Latin American diaspora to celebrate the Virgin of Guadalupe.

On December 12, feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Church in Canada celebrates the National Day of Prayer in Solidarity with Indigenous Peoples. This project, with the approval of the Bishops of Canada, has been coordinated since 2002 by the Canadian Catholic Indigenous Council.

In June of 2016, Archbishop Christian Lépine published a decree announcing a policy for Responsible Pastoral Ministry, preparing for its implementation as a pilot project in some diocesan parishes. The time has now come to present the first summary of what was carried out by the parish pastoral teams involved in the pilot project.

In collaboration with Aid to the church in Need (ACN Canada), Archbishop Christian Lépine presided a mass November 21 for persecuted Christians. It is the fifth time that Montrealers had come together to pray for all those who are persecuted for their faith.

Starting December 5, 2018, "Universal Jerusalem – Gerusalemme universale", the new temporary exhibition at the Marguerite Bourgeoys Museum, will explore the historic and cultural importance and the universal nature of the city of Jerusalem, long considered the centre of the world.
