2019 Faith Enrichment Conference

The Faith Enrichment Conference is a biannual event that serves the English-speaking Catholic community of Montreal. This conference is generously supported by Pillars Trust Fund, and this year, funding was also provided by the North American Forum on the Catechumenate. Traditionally, the Faith Enrichment Conference is an opportunity for parish catechetical leaders and catechists to come together. This year’s event, held Oct. 18-19, was open, for the first time, to all parish teams and families as well.
CCCB issues statement on persecuted Christians

The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB), through the Commission for Justice and Peace, and in consultation with Aid to the Church in Need Canada, released a statement Nov. 4 entitled In His Name: Statement on the Persecution of Christians.
Second annual mass for benefactors

Up to a hundred people were in attendance Oct. 19 at a Mass of Thanksgiving for benefactors of the Catholic Church of Montreal, celebrated by Archbishop Christian Lépine.
Maison du Père: working together as one big family

Pastoral team meetings focused on listening

Pastoral teams from across the diocese responded to Archbishop Christian Lépine’s invitation and gathered Oct. 16 and 24 for a full day of listening and reflection. The two meetings concluded the dialogue process launched Oct. 8 for the English-sector parishes. *(see link below). About 200 participants from 72 parishes were in attendance at the two meetings.
