Walking Together in Hope: Montreal’s Women’s Retreat 2025

Montreal
It was with great gratitude and joy that we welcomed 110 participants to Montreal’s second Walking Together in Hope Retreat!
Lisa Cotter, our guest speaker and author of Reveal the Gift: Living the Feminine Genius, invited us to reflect more deeply on the unique qualities that we, as women, bring to the world. By recognising our dignity, purpose, and identity as beloved daughters of God, we can become beacons of His hope to those whom we are called to love and serve. Thanks be to God for this opportunity to gather!
Our day was filled with inspiring testimonies from young women, uplifting music, delicious food, and opportunities to discover ministries serving across Montreal. We also spent sacred time in Eucharistic Adoration, Confession, and concluded with Holy Mass.
A heartfelt thank-you to Sacred Heart School for hosting us, to the priests who accompanied us—especially Fr. Kevin Darwent—and to the Pillars Trust Fund for their steadfast support.
“Lisa shined a light on the richness of teachings and the reverence for women that has existed within the Church since its very inception. Juxtaposed with her talks were beautiful testimonies of faith and lived examples of womanhood. Above all, to me, the message in line with the retreat’s theme: Walking Together in Hope. Our struggling world desperately needs what we women have to give. It is our duty to reveal that gift, to nurture and grow it in ourselves and in others, and to walk the path of Christ towards faith, truth, unity, and togetherness. The path of HOPE.”
— Jennifer Abboud, Mission Jeunesse Volunteer Service Team
We look forward with joy to our next gathering. Until then, let us go forward together—as Pilgrims of Hope!
