On October 21, this year’s “Mission Month” will culminate with the 93rd World Mission Sunday, including a 7:30 p.m. celebration presided by Archbishop Lépine at Mary Queen of the World Cathedral.

In October, Mission FOI (also known as the Pontifical Society for the Propagation of the Faith) invites the entire population to join Catholics around the world to participate in Mission Month, in preparation of 2019's Extraordinary Mission Month decreed by Pope Francis. This year's theme is "Together with the young people, let us bring the Gospel to all", referencing to this month's Youth Synod.

On October 21st, the month will culminate with the 93rd World Mission Sunday, where special donations will take place in every Parish in the world. This will help finance missionary projects, provide an opportunity to stimulate faith and hope throughout the world and reawaken the missionary spirit in all Catholics.

"During Mission Month, and particularly during October's worldfund contributions, let us keep in mind the world's poorest Dioceses that still depend on the Congregation for the Evangelization of People", says Fr. Yolland Ouellet, OMI, National Director for francophone Canada's Pontifical Mission Societies.

Last year, thanks to francophone Canada's benefactors, $850 000 were distributed by the Pontifical Society for the Propagation of the Faith.
