Montreal

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

As we celebrate Thanksgiving, let us set aside time to pause and recognize God's presence in our lives. However full our days may be, so many graces find their way to us: the people we meet, our families and friendships, our communities, an act of kindness, a word of comfort.

In Montreal, where so many cultures, languages and life stories meet, we can give thanks for a wealth of perspectives, encounters and shared experiences. This gift is also a mission, calling us to build bridges and weave bonds. In our families, our parishes and our communities, God invites us to welcome one another and to discover His presence in the faces of others.

To give thanks is also to recognize that all we receive is meant to bear fruit. Jesus gave thanks and shared the bread. As we follow in His footsteps, may our gratitude move us to share, to serve and to care for one another, especially for those who are alone or facing hardship.

This weekend, let us entrust to the Lord our families, our communities and our society. Let us ask Him for a grateful heart, quick to see the graces of each day and joyful in sharing them.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones!

May Christ be your Peace,
