On June 21, communities across the country will observe and celebrate the 30th National Indigenous Peoples Day. For the occasion, Mission chez nous, a non-profit founded in 1993 by the Archdiocese of Montreal to promote Christian solidarity with Indigenous peoples, is releasing a new reflection guide titled Toutes mes relations! (All My Relations!), designed to support prayer and reflection within Christian communities.

The guide offers liturgical suggestions aimed at encouraging solidarity between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. It invites the faithful to reflect on the importance of human relationships, particularly in a social climate marked by polarization, division, and tension.

This year's theme, Toutes mes relations!, celebrates the richness of the bonds that unite us to one another and to creation. It reminds us, too, to tend to those bonds which, though often quiet and unassuming, are essential to building a more fraternal world.

To enrich this reflection, Mission chez nous worked with Rose-Anne Gosselin, a member of the Timiskaming First Nation (Algonquin) and regional advisor for the First Nations Human Resources Development Commission of Quebec. Drawing on a career devoted to working with and for First Nations communities, she shares a perspective rooted in Indigenous wisdom, which invites us to look upon one another with openness, respect, and goodwill.

As we mark this important day, we are called to renew our commitment to reconciliation, dialogue, and encounter. Indigenous traditions and knowledge remind us that authentic listening and mutual respect are the surest paths to building relationships that are more just and more humane.

We encourage parishes, movements, and communities to make use of this guide as they mark National Indigenous Peoples Day and continue together on the path of reconciliation.
