At Mary, Queen of the World Cathedral, the Archdiocese of Montreal will mark the beginning of the Traveling Eucharistic Rosary Congress on Monday, Aug. 31, an initiative bringing together communities in Canada and the United States through Eucharistic Adoration and the Rosary.

The Congress opens on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 with gatherings at Mary, Queen of the World Cathedral in Montreal's downtown core and Our Lady of Fatima Parish in St-Laurent, before continuing through several communities in the United States.

Prayer at the Heart of the Mission

The Eucharistic Rosary Congresses invite the faithful to encounter Christ through Eucharistic Adoration and the Rosary. Their mission—to lead people to Jesus through Mary—is also connected to a much broader initiative: the Journey to Jubilee33.

Jubilee33 is a multi-year journey toward 2033, when Christians will observe the Jubilee of the Redemption, commemorating two millennia since Christ's Passion, Death and Resurrection. It brings together dioceses, bishops, shrines, Catholic movements and apostolates with a shared focus on evangelization and missionary renewal.

As Kristin Bird, President of the Eucharistic Rosary Congresses, explains, the intention is to place this journey toward 2033 "under Our Lady's mantle."

Looking Ahead to PAC27

Along the way, an important gathering will take place closer to home: the Pan American Confraternity Marian Congress (PAC27) in Ottawa.

The gathering will bring people together to deepen their encounter with God and renew their commitment to faith and mission. The Traveling Eucharistic Rosary Congress is part of the spiritual preparation leading toward this gathering and the wider Jubilee33 initiative.

Montreal's place at the beginning carries particular meaning. With Quebec's rich Catholic and missionary heritage, and the first gathering taking place at Mary, Queen of the World Cathedral, the city can be seen as a "mustard seed"—a local moment of prayer that will grow and connect with a much wider movement.
