Jubilee

As part of the 2025 Jubilee Year, parishes in Laval invite you to participate in a unique spiritual experience: an intercultural pilgrimage on Sunday, October 26, 2025. The Jubilee is a time of grace, hope, and encounter, when the Church calls us to pass together through the Holy Door of mercy and rediscover the beauty of fraternal communion.

In a world where difference is sometimes seen as a threat, we believe that others—those who are different from us—are in fact a richness for both our society and our Church. After all, each of us is “the other” to those who do not yet know us.

This pilgrimage is an opportunity to walk together, pray together, and get to know one another better—in the spirit of Pentecost, when peoples of diverse languages, customs, and traditions learned to understand and welcome one another.

The Jubilee route includes five stops:

  • 1:30 p.m. – Ste-Dorothée Parish
  • 2:10 p.m. – St-Ferdinand / St-Élie Parish
  • 3:00 p.m. – Notre-Dame de Fatima Parish
  • 3:45 p.m. – Saint-Nom-de-Jésus Parish
  • 4:30 p.m. – Amour Divin Parish

The day will conclude with a festive potluck meal: everyone is invited to bring a dish from their country, symbolizing sharing and communion in diversity.

You may join the pilgrimage from the beginning or at a parish near you, continuing with the group until the end. Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation.

Come walk with us, celebrate diversity, and experience the spirit of the Jubilee—an open, welcoming Church gathered around Christ.
