We live in a time marked by deep fractures in dialogue and trust. Public debates—whether political, social, or cultural—often descend into confrontation, with each side defending its position as if it were an unassailable fortress.

What a wonderful initiative to hold a Bible Day during this Jubilee Year of Hope! The reference to “headwinds” ran through the entire day’s activities — and yet, with each one, my hope only grew stronger, from beginning to end.

Montreal, October 16, 2025 – More than sixty people filled the hall for the conference “Mary’s Gaze in a Polarized World”, hosted by the Fondation du Grand Séminaire de Montréal on October 11, 2025.

As we come to the close of this Jubilee Year of Hope, we take a moment to remember all that this year has brought — the challenges we have faced, and above all, the steady reminder of the hope we find in Jesus Christ.

It was a remarkable Sunday on October 26, as nearly 700 pilgrims set out together on a spiritual journey from one parish to another. United in prayer and fraternity, they discovered along the way the depth of faith and the rich cultural mosaic that give life to our Church in Montreal.
