The Heroic Call A Men’s Retreat for Faith, Vocation and Mission
Montreal
The Office for English Pastoral Services (OEPS) invites men from across the diocese to a focused day of renewal centred on faith, identity, and mission.
In the midst of daily responsibilities and distractions, this one-day retreat, co-hosted by the OEPS and God Squad Canada Society, offers an opportunity for men to step back and listen more intentionally for the Lord’s voice in their lives. Through prayer, fraternity, fellowship, and two powerful presentations, participants will be encouraged to rediscover their personal vocation and to embrace the rich spiritual heritage entrusted to them in their families, their communities and the Church.
Morning Session: Receiving the Heroic Call
The morning session will feature a personal testimony from Sean Lynn, God Squad Canada Society, about what it means to receive and respond to God’s call. Drawing from his own journey, he will explore how moments of decision, surrender and trust in God can shape a man’s identity and mission.
Participants will be invited to consider where God might be asking them to step forward in courage, leadership, and faithfulness.
Afternoon Session: Embracing the Inheritance
The second session will challenge men to recognize and claim the spiritual inheritance that is already theirs. Like a hero stepping into his destiny, participants will reflect on the profound history of faith, sacrifice, and witness that surrounds them in the Church, in their families, and in their communities.
Participants will be encouraged to not only appreciate this legacy but to live it intentionally and courageously in their daily lives.
Time for Personal Reflection
Time will be made available throughout the day for men to reflect on:
- The unique call God has placed on their lives
- The responsibility and privilege of their spiritual heritage
- Concrete ways to live out their vocation as men of faith today
An Invitation to All Men
All men of the diocese are warmly invited to attend. Whether you are seeking renewal, deeper fraternity, or clarity about your mission, this gathering offers a space to grow in faith and to be strengthened for the journey ahead.
