The four-day “Protection of Minors in the Church” Meeting, being held in the Vatican from February 21 to 24, will offer new opportunities to raise awareness, listen to victims, and address responsibility, accountability, and transparency.

Officially announced Dec. 29, 2017, the Order of Canada was formally presented to Fr. John Emmett Walsh during a Feb. 1 ceremony at Rideau Hall. The diocesan priest of 52 years was among 35 recipients who received their insignia Friday morning as they were invested into the Order by Governor General Julie Payette.
