An estimated 1,800 Catholic primary and secondary school students gathered to celebrate mass Sept. 10 at St. Joseph’s Oratory, marking not only the beginning of another school year, but a first for four Montreal Catholic schools.

The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) will hold its annual Plenary Assembly at the NAV Centre in Cornwall, Ontario, September 23-27, 2019. The Plenary Assembly is a gathering of approximately 90 bishops from across Canada. CCCB President, Bishop Lionel Gendron, P.S.S., of Saint-Jean-Longueuil will preside.

September 21 to October 6, Montreal will have the privilege of receiving the relics of Saint John Paul II and Saint Padre Pio. Throughout the week, the relics will be hosted at local parishes for public veneration.
