God's Ten Commandments: A Way of Life, Rediscovered
Montreal
A Booklet on the Decalogue for Our Times
A new booklet exploring the God's Ten Commandments as a living path of faith is now available to download, released to mark the Mass for God's Commandments, celebrated by Archbishop Christian Lépine at the Cathedral of Mary, Queen of the World this Friday, May 22.
Published by the Archdiocese of Montreal in collaboration with the Christian-Jewish Dialogue of Montreal, the booklet offers a fresh and timely reflection on the Decalogue as a path of freedom, dignity and life together. Contributions come from:
- Archbishop Christian Lépine, Archbishop of Montreal
- David Bensoussan, Professor of Sciences, Université du Québec, and President of the Christian-Jewish Dialogue of Montreal
- Jean Duhaime, Professor Emeritus of Biblical Interpretation and President Emeritus of the Dialogue
- Martina McLean, Director of the Office for English Pastoral Services and diocesan representative to the Dialogue
- Rabbi Michael Whitman
More than a series of rules, the Decalogue is presented here as a genuine call to live in truth, respect, solidarity and love of neighbour.
The publication is rooted in a commitment to dialogue, encounter and shared reflection on a spiritual heritage cherished by both the Jewish and Christian traditions.
