The ecumenical celebration offers a unique occasion to reflect upon and rejoice in the common faith shared by all Christians. The title of the service, Light from Light for Light, is inspired by the Christological phrase of the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed — the monumental touchstone of Christian unity — whose 1700th anniversary we commemorated last year.
