Fr. Joseph Albert Earl Sullivan was called home to the Father, Saturday, July 20, 2019, at the age of 63.
 
Born on December 14, 1955 to Patrick Leo Sullivan and Maureen Lunny of Montreal, Father Joe started his pastoral work on the Loyola Campus of Concordia University and was ordained to the priesthood on May 29, 1983, by Archbishop Paul Grégoire.

He served as parochial administrator at St. Augustine Parish and at St. Patrick’s Basilica, as an assistant at Saint Veronica, St. John Brébeuf, and St. Edmund of Canterbury until his appointment in 1989 as administrator of St. Anthony of Padua. Fr. Sullivan was named pastor of Saint Richard Parish from 1990 until 1996 and was later named pastor of St. John Fisher for three years, while serving as spiritual director of the Catholic Women’s League Archdiocesan Council, as well as pastoral animator at the Saint-Anne-de Bellevue and Lakeshore Hospitals. He served at Corpus Christi Parish in Senneville from 2005 until 2009, and was appointed pastor of St. Edmund of Canterbury, until 2014.
