A more dynamic and missionary community

The Youth Ministry Office invites Youth Ministers from the Archdiocese of Montreal to 4 meetings per year. This is an opportunity to network, to share resources, build communion and better enable ourselves to respond more dynamically to the mission of evangelization in our city.

For youth ministers

One who works with young people as a volunteer or paid staff such as a pastor or a parish catechetical leader (PCL), or as parish pastoral worker, campus ministry, chaplain in the academic milieu, or as an animator of the spiritual life in the schools and cégeps, as someone in charge of religious vocations, scout or guide leader a catechist, a person in charge of groups preparing for the International WYD, Summer camps coordinators or animators, youth movement coordinators, retreat leaders, youth group leaders or animators, choir directors, anyone wishing to begin ‘something’ for the young people in his/her milieu… in others words anyone who loves young people and has a role in calling them forth, forming, and supporting them.

What is the purpose of these gatherings?

  • To build a network
  • To improve our approach to young people through mutual exchanges with one another
  • To renew ourselves; to be educated and to be equipped for the mission with young people in one’s milieu
  • To stay “tuned” to the latest developments in Youth Ministry
  • To remain in communion with the Diocesan Planning for the Mission among young people

These gatherings serve as an opportunity to strengthen the network of youth workers, while offering them the tools, training and diocesan events they can attend, in order to respond more fully to the mission of the evangelization of our diocese.

7:30pm: Christ the King Vigil , animated by youth of the MJYM network. Blessing and commissioning of Youth Ministry leaders and WYD pilgrims.


We will be exploring Mary’s trusting relationship with the Lord and how we can model the way she discerned her vocation and how we can better recognize God’s love in our lives
