The Newman Centre of McGill University

The Virgin Mary plays a huge role in the life of the Catholics. The great 19th century English theologian and Anglican convert, John Henry Newman, who initially struggled with the role and importance accorded to Mary in the Catholic tradition, became one of her greatest proponents, integrating patterns from her life into his own thought and vocation. On the Solemnity of the Annunciation, Wednesday, March 25 at 5:30pm, Msgr. Frank Leo Jr. will deliver a public lecture (one hour) on “The Marian Paradigm in the Life and Writings of John Henry Newman” at the centre (3484 Peel St., Montreal). A reception will follow. All are invited to attend. For more info, visit www.newmancentre.org or contact the office at 514-398-4106.
