CELEBRATE WORLD MARRIAGE DAY

All married couples are invited to celebrate World Marriage Day, which honours married couples as heads of the family, the basic unit of society, and salutes the beauty of their faithfulness, sacrifice and joy in daily married life. Join us on Saturday, February 11, 5pm for a bilingual mass presided by Archbishop Christian Lépine at Mary, Queen of the World Cathedral (1085 de la Cathédrale, Montreal). A reception at 7pm will follow and will be held at La Plaza (420 Sherbrooke West, Montreal). Enjoy a sit-down dinner with wine. Cost is $150.00 per couple. THE MARRIAGE COURSE

The marriage course is designed for any couple who wants to invest in their relationship, whether they have been together for 1 or 61 years, and whether they feel they have a strong marriage or are struggling. Over the course of seven evenings, in a welcoming and relaxing home setting, spend some quality time together discovering the essence of a healthy marriage. Conversations are strictly private between couples, and there are absolutely no group discussions. Think of it as a “date night” with your spouse! The next course will be held in the West Island, on Wednesday nights at 7:15pm, starting September 28 and ending November 16. The cost is $70 per couple, including materials. WORLDWIDE MARRIAGE ENCOUNTER WEEKEND FOR COUPLES

SPECIAL MASS FOR THE FAMILY

Archbishop Christian Lépine will celebrate a special Mass for families, on Friday, May 6, 7:30pm at Mary Queen of the World Cathedral (1085 rue de la Cathédrale, Montreal). In the wake of the publication of the Post-Synodal Apostolic Exhortation on love in the family, Amoris Laetitia, and as Quebec Family Week is about to begin, our Archbishop, Most Reverend Christian Lépine, will celebrate a special Mass for families, on Friday, May 6, at 7:30 p.m, at Mary Queen of the World Cathedral. All families are welcome, as is anyone interested in the future of the family in our Church and in our society! GRIEF WORKSHOP FOR CHILDREN AND TEENS

A team of trained volunteers are providing help to children to understand and express their grief with a free workshop, and a concurrent Parent Discussion Group to give parents/guardians the opportunity to discuss the topic of children’s grief. The workshop will take place on Saturday, April 30, from 9am to 2pm at Selwyn House School, 101 Cote St. Antoine (corner Staunton) in Westmount. A light lunch will be provided. CATHOLIC RETREAT FOR SINGLE-MOTHER FAMILIES

From June 24-26, 2016 a three-day rest and renewal retreat uniquely for single mothers and children is being offered for the first time by Dominus Vobiscum, a Catholic camp devoted to supporting family life. Daily schedule includes Mass, Parent and Children programming, recreations and family time.
