ST. GABRIEL PARISH: ANNUAL BAZAAR

St. Gabriel Parish is looking for items to sell at modest prices for the annual parish bazaar.  If you wish to help out the parish, especially this year with the high cost of important renovations, then please consider dropping off your donation between now and the bazaar date of Saturday, November 5 (2157 Centre St., Montreal). THE ANGELS OF MERCY

The Angels of Mercy is a parish organization which operates from November to May providing a healthy meal and warm clothing to the homeless people of Montreal. We are in need of a bookkeeper, a treasurer and an assistant to the Director. These are not time-consuming positions. Please consider becoming a part of this wonderful ministry and joining us in making a difference in the lives of our homeless brothers and sisters, by being the hands and feet of Jesus. WELCOME TO THE SIDE DOOR COFFEE HOUSE!

Hosted by Plain Folk the second Friday of every month, The Side Door Coffee House is a non-profit venue that presents an evening of live entertainment. Well-known among musicians across Canada and the northeastern United States, Side Door shows cover a variety of genres including fold, jazz, blues, country, bluegrass, Celtic and classical. LEGION OF MARY: DAY OF RECOLLECTION

The Legion of Mary of the English sector of the Archdiocese of Montreal is hosting a Day of Recollection on Saturday, October 1 from 9:40am-3pm at St. Patrick’s Congress Hall (454 René-Lévesque Blvd., Montreal). We are pleased to welcome guest speaker Fr. Claude Sigouin, a Montfort Missionary. The day will conclude with a Eucharistic celebration. THE MARRIAGE COURSE

The marriage course is designed for any couple who wants to invest in their relationship, whether they have been together for 1 or 61 years, and whether they feel they have a strong marriage or are struggling. Over the course of seven evenings, in a welcoming and relaxing home setting, spend some quality time together discovering the essence of a healthy marriage. Conversations are strictly private between couples, and there are absolutely no group discussions. Think of it as a “date night” with your spouse! The next course will be held in the West Island, on Wednesday nights at 7:15pm, starting September 28 and ending November 16. The cost is $70 per couple, including materials. ST. MONICA PARISH: FAITH-SHARING GROUPS

You are invited to join us! This year, our reflections are taken from the books Traits of a Healthy Spirituality and In Steadfast Love by Melannie Svoboda. Groups meet for 14 sessions throughout the year at convenient weekday or weekend times and locations.
