FROM THE NEIGHBOURING DIOCESE OF OGDENSBURG, NEW YORK: 2016 VOCATIONS SUMMIT – INSPIRE, CALLED TO LOVE

Bishop Terry LaValley invites everyone to celebrate the universal call to holiness and its manifestation in the vocations of Christian marriage and family life, the single state, the consecrated religious life, and the ordained priesthood and diaconate. INSPIRE: Called to Love will be held on Sunday, September 25 at the Olympic Centre Complex, in Lake Placid, NY (2634 Main St., Lake Placid, NY 12946).
Participants will have the opportunity (from early morning) to take part in breakout sessions being led by internationally known speakers, including:

● The Most Rev. Robert Barron, Auxiliary Bishop of Los Angeles, CA.
● The Most Rev. Christopher Coyne, Bishop of Burlington, VT.
● The Most Rev. Paul-André Durocher, Archbishop of Gatineau, QC, and guest homilist for Holy Mass (scheduled for 3:15pm)

ST. LUKE PARISH: MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL

This annual event will be held on Sunday, September 11 (106A Anselme-Lavigne St., Dollard-des-Ormeaux). Everyone is invited to join us for a day of fun and fellowship. Get to know people from other parishes!  Admission is free.  Beverages, snacks and entertainment available from 10am (following 9am Mass) to 3pm. Performing groups will invite audience participation.  Sing and dance to your heart’s content – under expert instruction!  Tickets are required if you wish to sample a variety of sumptuous ethnic dishes (Filipino, Latino, Italian, Portuguese and far more) and to be eligible to win door prizes. Cost: $10 for adults; $7 for children under 12 and seniors 65 and over; $30 for a family of two adults and any number of children under 12. Tickets may be purchased at the parish office (514-684-6488) weekdays, 8:30am-12pm/1pm–4pm or following weekend Masses. THE SACRED HEART SCHOOL OF MONTREAL: OPEN HOUSE

LA FONDATION HUMANITAS: LEARN LATIN OR ANCIENT GREEK!

CATHOLIC WIDOW/WIDOWER SUPPORT GROUP

A new group will begin meeting this Fall to provide support and connection to those who have lost a spouse. Drawing from our Catholic tradition, this group will offer a chance to reflect, share and connect with others who have experienced similar loss.
An initial meeting for those interested will be held Wednesday, September 7, 9:30am (following 9am Mass) at St John Fisher Parish (120 Summerhill Ave., Pointe-Claire). CRIB AND CROSS FRANCISCAN MINISTRIES: WORKSHOP SERIES

CCFM will offer a group workshop series for persons struggling with a significant loss, such as the death of a loved one, divorce or other difficult change. Practical tools are presented in talks,
reflections and discussions led by Richard Boileau, MA CT OFS with more than 20 years experience. Join us Tuesday evenings, September 6 to December 6 from 7pm-8:30pm at St. Luke Parish (106A Anselme-Lavigne St., Dollard-des-Ormeaux). During this year of mercy and our golden jubilee year, we would like to offer the opportunity to our faithful community to participate in the following pilgrimages to visit sacred places. Please note that all of our pilgrimages are at a low cost. For each pilgrimage, the place of departure and return arrival will be the parking lot of St. Thomas à Becket Parish (4320 Ste-Anne St., Pierrefonds). All are welcome to take part in any or all of the following visits:

– Sanctuaire Sainte Marguerite d`Youville, Varennes, Quebec
Saturday, August 20; 10am departure, return at 4pm; lunch included, $20.

– Sanctuaire Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, in Rigaud, Quebec 
Saturday, September 3; 10am departure, return at 4pm; lunch included, $20.

– La Cathédrale in Quebec City, (Holy Door)
Saturday, September 17; leaving by deluxe coach at 9am, return at 7pm; lunch and snacks included, $50.

– St. Luke Productions presents Faustina: Messenger of Divine Mercy in Cornwall, Ontario
Saturday, September 24; 5pm departure, returning at 10pm; $25, plus a free-will offering.

PETER’S CHORD IN CONCERT: ‘MOMENTS OF GRACE’
