Concordia University: Indigenizing Pilgrimage Conference

Seniors Action Quebec

On Monday, April 27, Seniors Action Quebec, a non-profit organization working on behalf of English-speaking seniors in Quebec, will host a Family Conference on the new Provincial Legislation Bill 52: End of Life Choices. The day will start at 8:30am when coffee will be served followed by a full day of information with panels and kiosks and social interaction until 5pm The goal of the conference is to provide an opportunity for individuals to become informed on the new legislation and what other services are available to them when facing terminal illness. The Conference will be held at La Plaza, former Holiday Inn Midtown (420 Sherbrooke St. West, Montreal). Please note everyone MUST register in advance. Deadline to register is April 17. St. Aloysius Parish: Item Drive for Herstreet (La rue des femmes)

For the first time H.O.P.E., along with St. Aloysius Parish, will be helping Herstreet, a non-profit organization involved in helping homeless women and women in distress. H.O.P.E. will be collecting items such as toiletries, any new or slightly used clothing, shoes and boots, as well as utensils and plates for the women at Herstreet. Over the next three Sundays, April 19, April 26 and May 3 following the 9:30am Mass at Ste-Louise-de-Marillac Church (7901 Ste-Claire St., Montreal), boxes will be available at the back of the church to collect the items.
