National March for Life in Ottawa

Join bishops, priests, and thousands of others in Ottawa on Thursday, May 8 to show support for life from conception to natural death. Chartered buses ($35) will leave Montreal and arrive in Ottawa for 10am Mass, followed by a gathering on Parliament Hill and the march itself. The bus returns to the parish late afternoon (see itinerary below). What we do makes a difference: this Lent, the world-wide 40 Days for Life initiative saved 720 babies from death in their mother’s womb. Last year, an estimated 25,000 pro-lifers assembled on Parliament Hilll and marched through downtown Ottawa to inform Canadians that we are the only western nation with no protection for the unborn child. The parish is the Church present in the neighborhood. If the call for a New Evangelization is to have local impact, it will largely be a result of the witness and vitality offered by your parish. To support your efforts, the Office for English Pastoral Services is organizing a parish-focused conference, November 13-15. Open to everyone involved or interested in parish life, more details will be available in June.
