The diocesan World Youth Day is the gathering where ALL Montreal youth are invited by the Archbishop to gather and celebrate their faith in Jesus Christ, and to highlight the vitality of young people at the heart of our Church. There are 3 parts to this celebration.

For minors: We encourage group leaders to have CONSENT FORMS completed by parents or guardians of minors 17 years old and under. Group leaders should have these forms on hand on the day of the event. These are for the use of the group leader only. The MJ-Youth Ministry team will not collect these forms.

Pilgrimage

A time to witness to the love of Christ. The pilgrimage through the streets of Montreal becomes a commemoration of the Lord’s entrance into Jerusalem. We are Christ’s disciples who want to transform today’s world. We walk in the streets to witness our faith and hope in Jesus Christ.

Mass

A solemn moment in commemoration of the Passion of Christ. It is a calm and sombre time, as we re-live the painful memory of the Lord’s final hour, and because His love for us is very precious. It is through His Passion that we can celebrate His Resurrection and our own salvation.

5PM | MARY, QUEEN OF THE WORLD CATHEDRAL | 1085 RUE DE LA CATHÉDRALE
