To the Dawson College Community:
students, staff, their families and friends :

In this time of sorrow, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Montreal offers its prayerful support to all those who in anyway were affected by the tragic shooting at Dawson College. We ask the God of compassion and mercy to bring healing to the families and friends of the victims and the perpetrator. As a Church rooted in the Gospel, we reach out to each other and offer solace and support to the various members of the Dawson Community.

We pray...

We pray that all young people
and their families may live in peace.
That our neighbourhood be filled with love and be free from brutality and abuse.
We pray that our students may go to school in peace; free from violence and fear.
We pray that couples may love and live in peace,
in marriages and in relationships
free from cruelty and any form of domestic violence.

We pray that men and women
may go to work in peace,
with no fears of terror or bloodshed.
We pray that we may travel in peace,
be safe in the air, on the seas,
and along whatever road we take.

We pray that nations
may dwell together
in peace, justice, and harmony;
without the threat of war hovering over them.

Amen.
